TEACHING / COURSES AND EDUCATION

Computer science to understand,
design, and decide.

Teaching computer science means building tools to read systems, design solutions, and thoughtfully assess the consequences of technological choices.

From programming foundations to modern infrastructure, with attention to the contexts in which technology is used.

Over the years I have taught undergraduate and doctoral courses, master’s programmes, and professional education. Audiences have included students in computer science, data science, engineering, political science, and public administration.

My approach connects concepts and practice: models, architectures, data, and software are presented as tools for understanding and addressing real problems.

University teaching: a broad repertoire.

ARCHITECTURE AND INFRASTRUCTURE

Inside computation

Advanced Computer Architecture; Computer Architecture; Computer Systems; Introduction to Modern Computing Infrastructures; High Performance Computing.

PROGRAMMING AND SOFTWARE

From code to systems

Fundamentals of Programming; Programming; Fundamentals of Computer Science; Elements of Software Engineering and Information Systems; Web Systems and Databases.

DATA AND MODELS

Information in action

Data Management; Databases and Information Systems; Programming for Data Science; Modeling of Computer-Based Systems and Semantic Web; Bioinformatics.

COMPUTING AND SOCIETY

Technology in context

Information Systems for e-Government; Computing for Political Science; Computing for Energy and the Environment; Cybercrime; computing courses for cultural heritage and tourism.

Courses have been taught across different academic years at the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli” and its predecessor institutions, as well as at other universities. This overview highlights the main strands rather than reproducing a full administrative list.

LEARNING BEYOND UNIVERSITY

Skills for those
leading transformation.

NATIONAL SCHOOL OF ADMINISTRATION

Digital transformation and public-sector capacity

Lecturer and scientific coordinator since 2024 on digital transformation, software development, cloud and edge computing, the Internet of Things, and digital public services. Coordination of laboratories for executive recruitment courses and contribution to the 2026 SNA–ReSPA programme.

AEROSPACE INDUSTRY

Software and critical systems

Teaching for Leonardo on requirements and coding standards for avionics software under DO-178C, Level D, and on systems modelling with IBM Rational Rhapsody.

INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION

Teaching in dialogue with research

International courses and Visiting Professor activities on computer architecture, high-performance computing, data management, cybersecurity, explainable AI, software engineering, and performance evaluation.

TEACHING PRINCIPLES

Technical rigour.
Human relevance.

01

Foundations

Understand principles, not only how to use tools.

02

Application

Connect methods to concrete problems.

03

Responsibility

Recognise the implications, constraints, and users of technology.
