Research

My research activities are about performance evaluation of computer-based systems. It is a wide research area, in which I specially study modeling of complex distributed systems by multiformalism techniques.
My main research topics are currently:
- Methods and techniques for multiformalism modeling
- Performance evaluation of industrial complex systems, critical for performance, dependability, reliability and temporal correctness
- Quality of Service in distributed systems based on the Service Oriented Architecture paradigm
- Performance modeling of Big Data systems and applications

I am one of the founders of the SIMTHESys and OsMoSys research initiatives.

Besides my main themes, being born curious I also like to study other topics every time I have a chance to do it.
